世界を席巻したショートムービー『ゴジラVSガイガンレクス』（https://youtu.be/ObDeGGRH-PY?si=S9xuMY5vJe7N6dfl ）正統続編が「ゴジラ・フェス 2023」で上映決定！
前作に引き続きメガホンをとるのは、日本有数のCGディレクター・上西琢也監督。
今年は生誕50周年となるメガロが登場し、東宝の制作レーベル「GEMSTONE Creative Label」のバックアップのもと、「岐阜ゴジラ」で話題を集めた映像クリエイター・柴田晃宏氏とのタッグにより何倍もスケールアップした怪獣バトルをお届けします。

■上西琢也プロフィール
1987年生まれ。2013年株式会社白組入社。３DCGディレクター。
映画『寄生獣完結編』『DESTINY 鎌倉ものがたり』『進撃の巨人 ATTACK ON TITAN』他、多数の映画で３Dデザイナーやコンポジターとして参加。『銀魂2 掟は破るためにこそある』ではコンポジットスーパーバイザーを務める。『シン・ゴジラ』にて、ゴジラモデリングとコンポジットを担当し、その他『モンスターハンター4G』『バイオハザードリベレーションズ2』などのゲームやMVにも多数参加。

■柴田晃宏プロフィール
ディレクター、カメラマン。(株)東海制作代表取締役。
岐阜市で大規模エキストラを集めた短編映画『岐阜ゴジラ』（https://youtu.be/qZgG3nUXvZc?si=2dpJOU-bfQ3UPRiV ）、ゴジラモチーフのドレス制作ドキュメンタリ『DRESS』（https://youtu.be/1cNGnfnt23I?si=g3n0q6e34nsHwY64 ）の2作品が東宝の「GEMSTONEクリエイターオーディション」で入賞を果たし話題を集める。東海地方を中心に、映画、ドラマ、CM、PVなど幅広い作品に参加。

I kinda hated the Gigan Miles and Rex design, but now Megalon looks pretty good. Every time I think about a Megalon redesign for a movie I don't have idea on how it could be, since Megalon's design was actually decent and cool. Now, I think this redesign makes him cooler and dangerous.

I've always felt that the MonsterVerse should now focus on the Seatopians and Megalon in their next film. It makes perfect sense. In Gozilla: KOTM when they showed an underwater civilization that was discovered on their way to nuke Godzilla to give him a jump start so he could go and fight Ghidorah....to me that seemed like a perfect setup for how the Seatopians declare war on us surface dwellers. We nuked their civilization, so they declare war by unleashing Megalon on us. Pretty similar to what happened in the 1970s film.
