Check out a brand-new look at Resident Evil Requiem, an upcoming third and first person survival horror shooter developed by Capcom. Players will embody FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft as a case takes her back to the outbreak in Raccoon City with deep ties to her mother all wrapped up in a sinister plot. Resident Evil Requiem is launching on February 26, 2026 for PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).

I really don't like the "what's happening?" > "there's no time" trope when in just 3 seconds, you could just say "bad people are after us and we need to get out before they find us." Minor gripe, hopefully the game will be good. Looks good so far.

Honestly don’t get why people want the same action hero like Leon constantly cracking one liners and doing backflips and stunts in RE4, it gets boring after awhile, I can see why people are sceptical about Grace since she’s a new character and the last new character they introduced-Ethan was kind of 1 dimensional and a bit boring, but they actually seemed to have put more effort into her as a character, making her seem more realistic in terms of how someone would react to these situations, crying and saying she’s scared because she just saw a guy get suffocated and get his throat cut.

1. Interior textures looking good - character models nothing to scream about;
2. Lighting looks excellent;
3. The sound of the footsteps on the hardwood floor sound great;
4. Not much gameplay but nonetheless, a good example of why first person is the way to go for the extra elements of horror
