Episode 118 welcomes amazarashi, a band formed by the center member Hiromu Akita from Aomori prefecture.
1 TAKE performance of "Kisetsu Wa Tsugitsugi Shindeiku (Seasons die one after another)", a smash-hit tie-in song to the anime series Tokyo Ghoul √A.
Performs in a special arrangement only for THE FIRST TAKE.

This and "To the nights that didn't become our future" are my 2 favourite songs from Amazarashi. Hiromu Akita is one of the most unparalleled lyricists of his genre. It's amazing how his songs seem dark and depressing at first glance, but they're actually about finding the light amidst the darkness- I think that's really deep and beautiful in its own way

季節よりもディープなのやって欲しいと思ってたけど、「光、再考」の詞から入られてやられた。人に勧めると詞が暗い、声が苦手って言われるけど生歌は上手いし最高にスルメ曲ばかりで詞にも救われる。刺さる人に刺されば良いよな。amazarashiを起用してくれてありがとう。

This proves that Amazarashi doesn't need to bring anything, just his guitar and his voice alone can evoke such raw emotions to his listeners. Even without the translations, you can feel the grief and pain deep inside just by listening.

I love how music connects and unites people. Here I am, sitting in the night in Poland and I can't help but admire how amazing amazarashi is. Even without subtitles I can feel those emotions, this deep take on how life works for all of us.
Man, our times are indeed strange ones but the possibility to listen to music from the country I've never been to is great.
Big thanks to The First Take for creating this channel and making those videos possible. Great idea met great realisation and created one of my favourite Youtube channels.

子どもを出産してからしばらくamazarashiから離れていたけれど、久しぶりに聞いても不思議な安心感のような安堵感のような、そういう価値観とか考え方もあるよね、それもまた良いよね、という気持ちを感じられました。

I don't know that many of his songs but of the ones I do know I like them all...I remember listening to this song for the first time and thinking how much it touched me even before I looked up a translation. 昔、苦しくて辛くて生きるのがに嫌になって終わろうとした時にamazarashiに出会いました。励ましとか情けとかじゃない。ただただ寄り添ってくれる姿勢にそのままでも大丈夫だよって言われてる気がして涙が止まりませんでした。
今amazarashiを聞いてもあまり泣かないようになった気がします。それは自分が立派と言えるか分からないけどちゃんと生きているから。
本当につらい時、苦しい時にここにいていいんだよって言ってくれる存在があることに救われました。ありがとうございます。
