Love the fact that 5 highly skilled stickmen that probably went through one of the most life threatening events in their life can still loose to a humble chef.

How incredible it is to analyze the exact detail of the meals and the ingredients of each one and the hard work that the animators would have had to put in so that everything fits perfectly, including the animations of the food made of pure pixels so that they adapt well to the world of Minecraft, I also found it interesting that they had to figure out how to use items that already exist in the game so that the Stickmans can use them as kitchen tools.

The way Alan and his team don't use an actual language but you can still tell what his stick figures are talking about is really impressive (and convenient considering he has a pretty universal audience)

I love how the chef can singlehandedly fight off 5 incredibly talented stick figures wielding diamond swords with a kitchen knife and a pan, but gets insta KOed by a single punch.

A few things that I liked about this episode:
The cooking scenes were very satisfying to watch.
The introduction of ramen and other complex minecraft food instead of just bread, apples and cake
How the five stickmen just sit outside the chef's house, feeling like failures
How the chef gave the five stickmen one more chance to get the master cookbook
Different cultural food and dishes (like from Japan, France and Mexico)
And finally, how the green punches the chef and along with red, the second coming, yellow, started to wolf down all the delicious dishes prepared by themselves as they were so hungry. XD

I realised from the beginning that this was going to be a story where the journey itself would be the reward. After all, why would a chef buy cooked meals, and refuse emeralds? He’s proposing the trade so that they learn how to make them. The journey to three lands to learn more cuisines solidified this as such a story.

This is for sure my favorite episode so far. And no, it's not just because I love food. The details, the recipes, the different regions with each their own cuisine... The backgrounds and the villagers and the design of the dishes, it's a-m-a-z-i-n-g. We can really feel all the work that has been put in this. Thank you so much Alan. This is stunning.

Did anyone else notice the similarities to the "Hero's Journey" story arc. It's not exactly in order but all of the key points are still there.
The Ordinary World: When the stick figures are just eating normal food
The Call to Adventure: The chef gives them the three recipes to get the cookbook
Refusal of The Call: The stick figures try to take the book by force instead
Meeting with the mentor: The stick figures meet the chef
Crossing the threshold to the special world: This can be interpreted as going through the portal or just entering the metaphorical world of cooking
Tests, Allies, And Enemies: The various cooking challenges given by the chef
Approach The innermost Cave: When they start the "final" challenge (Chicken, Doughnuts, Burger)
The Ordeal: When the stick figures go to the three countries to learn their recipes
The reward: The stick figures claim the cookbook (It also has the stereotypical "The power was within you the whole time" thing)
The road back: This could be simply when they go back to the computer, or when they return to the chef after failing the third task

I think it would be a good idea for the next Minecraft update to be about cooking, it would be really cool to be able to make a pizza and many more foods and find cooking villagers who sell ingredients and materials, and they can also improve the textures of the food and improve the animations of eat =)

Spoilers: This episode was already so good, starting off with general, particularly well known foods before showing off different dishes from different cultures around the globe. But in my personal opinion, it all peaked when Green finally had enough of this globe-trotting culinary fetch quest and decided to sucker punch the villager version of Chef Ramsay before swiftly scarfing down the dishes they made for the cookbook trade like a pack of rabid animals. Bro was soloing the entire stick gang in his house yesterday but he never saw that punch coming🤣
