I only read Tsukihime because some people in a fgo discord were talking about it and said it was pretty nice though not related to fgo at all. I started on a whim but it turned out to be one of the best reading experiences I have ever had and I just read it through YouTube videos. Hope this remake lives up to the same.

Q: What is this?
A: This is the opening for the remake of the Visual Novel (VN) made by Type-Moon last 2000. This opening in particular is the 2nd opening of the VN and is for Ciel's route.

Q: Is this related to Fate?
A: No, but they're on the same universe (Type-Moon/Nasuverse) and was written by the same author (Kinoko Nasu). Tsukihime (2000) predates Fate (2004).

Q: Is this an opening of a new anime?
A: Again, this is the opening for the VN. This isn't an anime adaptation announcement. Tsukihime does have an anime adaptation, but it was horrendous. So horrible that the fans refuse to acknowledge its existence. Thus, "There is no Tsukihime anime."

Q: When will this game be released?
A: It was released last August 26 for JP in PS4 and Switch. PC isn't included. There's still no any announcement for Western release, but given how vast TM's fanbase has become, its chances are definitely not slim. Wait and hope. Aniplex has a translation group that's only dedicated for visual novels, so there's that glimmer of hope.

Q: Why are people getting hyped over this?
A: Tsukihime was considered a legendary VN in the 2000s. It was one of the most memorable VNs of its time (if not THE most memorable VN). Its remake was originally announced last 2008, which hyped the fans. The same fans suffered waiting for the release longer than people anticipating Cyberpunk 2077 (only to end up as buggy). 12 years of waiting, so it's only natural for them to get hyped.

According to an article by Famitsu, Tsukihime Remake took over the sales ranking in JP as Rank 1 (Switch) and Rank 2 (PS4) in its 1st week of release. Over 138,000+ copies in total were sold. 生命線の力強く情熱的な曲調に対して、ジュブナイルは妖しくも清廉で流れるような曲調。
アレク√の旧作からの要素を詰め込んだOPとは対照的にシエル√は新しい要素を盛り込んだOPで素晴らしい。
まさに、アレクとシエルで月の表側を表裏一体で構成している。

English language speakers, we wont be able to play Tsukihime for many years but Melty Blood Type Lumina is releasing worldwide at the end of this month with an english translation. It's a fighting game but it should have an in depth awesome story mode and is an alternate story of Tsukihime

The new story of Ciel was amazing. I mean...just, Wow. Her design and voice has been changed though, she has become more attractive. More beautiful and stronger, but she is keeping her tender heart. And her personal relationships among new characters were really interesting.
