there're the lyrics "眩しい期待がいつかキミを燃やす" ＝ "bright hope will light up a fire in you" ,but I guess it also means "people's expectation will make you burnt out".
Perfume had a hard time when they suddenly became popular. a-chan said they were always desperated being "Perfume", to meet people's expectations.

This makes me really emotional people I have so many emotions rn I love Perfume they are literally amazing how are they not the most famous group in the world already?! I guess they are just waaaaay ahead of their time because there's no other explanation. Their amazing music from nakata, their choreography from mikiko (the stamina that must take), the technology in their shows from rhizomatiks (Perfume reframe w o w) , their mvs and their team of directors, and their staff in general, the dedication they have doing this for 20 years. And their fan involvement!? Unlike any other, I mean just look at this mv. Perfume every time just completely amazes me like I can not understand why they don't have millions of fans. They 1000% deserve it. Being a Perfume fan is the best thing (pun intended 😎) I can not wait for this mv

I actually wasn't a huge fan of the song when I first heard it, but now I realise that it's because it sounds like really really old school perfume (Which makes sense since this was a song Nakata wrote back in 2002 - 2005 and just never completed) That isn't to say I don't love older Perfume songs, but I'm also self aware enough to know that if I heard them for the first time today they probably wouldn't be my cup of tea. HOWEVER! Now that I know all this I feel an incredible nostalgia for this song even though it's only been out for a couple of months! It's like it's always been there already so I can listen to it with that same playful glee that I had when I listened to the older Perfume songs back in middle school! Only Perfume can accomplish this for me, the connection they have to their past, their future, and their fans is unrivaled. Thank you team Perfume as always, and thank you Hiroto for a really nice and playful video idea~
