【ストーリー】
1975年、宇宙は平和を取り戻していた。
そんな時、ウルトラ兄弟たちが何者かによって次々と殺害されてしまう。
犯人の名は宇宙大魔王ジャッカル。
遠い昔、ウルトラマンキングに敗れブラックホールに追放された宇宙人である。

やがて地球に侵攻したジャッカル軍は人間態で潜伏するウルトラ戦士たちを炙り出すため、捕虜にした人間たちの処刑を決行しようとする。
諦めかけたその時、頭上に謎の鎧戦士が現れた…。

I really love Ultraman Melos, and also Aura (who doesn't appear in this short film). I hope one day they get their own live-action suits made and appear in Ultra Galaxy Fight.

BGMとSEが全部75年までの作品由来の物に限って使われてるために、
原作マンガ当時の第二期ウルトラの延長線上の雰囲気をきっちり出しつつ、
最新のアニメーションでゴリゴリに動くのが本当に素晴らしい。
シン・でも感じたけど同じ「音」が使われてるだけで
過去の作品とのつながりを強く感じることができる。

I always see that shot of King with the other Ultras as a thumbnail all the time and I assumed it was from a fan made project or something, but here it is in full! It’s an actual thing! And it’s about as weird as you can expect from an Ultraman project

ウルトラマンのコミックは色々あったけど、今でもはっきりと内容を覚えているのは「ザ・ウルトラマン」だけ。それぐらい引き込まれた作品でした。当時TVシリーズに居なかった、鎧を着たウルトラマンに驚きつつワクワクしたなぁ。
