You can really see all the pain, hatred, and exhaustion in his eyes. This is a Godzilla we have not seen on the big screen in a very long time. Not just some mindless animal or begrudging anti-hero, he has been hurt and now his only reason for living is to spread hurt.

凄まじい迫力。無機質で無感情、表情の読めない不気味なシン版に対し、人類に（どうやら）明確な敵意と憎悪を抱き、しなやかで重々しい猛攻を仕掛けるより動物的な実在感たっぷりな今回のゴジラ。また違った切り口から新時代の怪獣王の創造を目指す監督の尋常でないくらいの熱意と意気込みを最後の力強く猛々しい咆哮から思わず感じ取った。

Been a Godzilla fan for 40 years now. I can't wait to see this. I grew up with Godzilla as the defender of the Earth, but I have learned to embrace all his forms. From hero, to anti-hero, to symbol of the atomic horror, to wrathful spirit, and suffering beast. That moment where it looks like is actively chasing the ship is pretty scary. I have had a fear for ages of something that massive and terrible being aware of my presence and determined to hurt me. And I watched that moment at the three second mark where the spike starts to grow and still can't even be sure if it's on his head or tail.

0:10 is my favorite shot, you can feel the utter seriousness and hatred Godzilla has just by looking at his face, he is not playing games with mankind in this movie, the last shot of him roaring at an apocalyptic looking sky also just screams pure badassry!!!

This a new level of Gogi with the tail action. In Shin it became so controversial but now he literally flips the switch in his tail to activate his atomic breath 😳😳😳. Or this can be evolution from what he does in Legendary.

The scene on the boat is terrifying in a way that Godzilla is deliberately looking at the boat (YOU from viewpoint) instead of brushing it aside or capsizing by accident that other movies with ocean scenes usually do, which to be fair are usually used for size comparisons.
