ヨルシカ - 思想犯（OFFICIAL VIDEO）

尾崎放哉と1984については既にコメ欄にあったので、
MVの仮面に絞って考察します。


このMVの大半を通して主人公が着けている面は
「ガイ・フォークス・マスク」と呼ばれる面です。

元は、1605年のイギリスで起きた火薬陰謀事件に関わった
ガイ・フォークスに因んだもので、
イギリスの祭りのひとつである
ガイ・フォークス・ナイトで着けられるものでしたが、
特に2005年の映画「Vフォー・ヴェンデッタ」をきっかけに
政治家や銀行に対して抗議する集団によって
世界的に使われるようになりました。
2008年にハッカー集団の「アノニマス」が
様々な機会に着用するようになってからは、
日本でも知名度が上がりました。

従って現代においてこの仮面は
「匿名性」と「抵抗の意志」、
時には「連帯」などの意味を
象徴しているとも言えます。

概要欄に言及されている小説「1984」は
思想や言論が統制された世界で働く人が
その世界に疑問を持つことから始まる話ですが、
そういった「世界の在り方」
あるいは「常識」に疑問が、不満があって
それ故に孤独に苛まれ、世界を呪い、
現状を打破したいと考えている
全ての「名もなき人たち」の抱える
無常、あるいは無情の歌のように感じます。


なお、起源となったガイ・フォークスは、
当時イングランド国教会優遇政策によって
弾圧されていたカトリック教徒の過激派で、
「議事堂の地下にに爆弾を仕掛け、
　国王が開会式の挨拶をする時に爆破して
　国王と、宗派の違う議員を殲滅した上で
　カトリック教徒だけで政権を握ってしまおう」
という計画に加担していました。

そういう点から見れば、彼は
爆弾を使った政治犯……つまりは、
「思想犯」かつ「爆弾魔」と
言えるかもしれません。

……もちろん、曲や物語に
直接の関わりは無いように感じますが、
もしもエイミーにもっと未来があったなら
尾崎放哉の晩年のような結末に辿り着く
世界もあったのかもしれないとは思います。


また、余談ですが、3:13にて主人公が
ガイ・フォークスの仮面を剥いだとき
最初に出てきた面は恐らく「般若」の面で、
これは能面の女面に分類され、
「嫉妬に狂った女の表情」を表すと
されている面なのですが、
仮面の下から最初に露わになるのが
「嫉妬」というのは、まさしく
【他人に優しい世間にこの妬みが分かるものか】
という歌詞の反映でしょうか。

そして3:20にてその下から出てくる面を
「道化」の面と捉えて良いなら、
これまた、仮面を2枚も剥ぎ取ってなお
「滑稽な言動を演じて他人を楽しませる姿」
しか出てこないという、
悲しい表現のように感じます。

「自分をなくしてしまって探している」
「なにがたのしみで生きているのかと問われて居る」
という尾崎放哉の句が想起されるようなMVでした。

Yorushika really hits me in a certain part. That jaded, resentful, empty part of you that hates yourself, wishes you could be anyone or anything else, craving to be the type of good, passionate person somebody you've seen is that you know you could never be yourself again. It hits hard.

I don't know but I felt so emotional watching the MV because I can relate to him. When you're trying to find who you really are but you just keep finding other fake versions of yourself until you just get tired and go back to the mask you were most comfortable with without having found yourself. DAMN.

きっと理解されないけど、最近ヨルシカさんの曲を聴くと心を見透かされているようで胸が苦しい。
ボカロ作ってた時も、ヨルシカとしての活動を始めた時も、ずっと画面越しにいたのに、どんどん遠くなっていくように感じるその存在を悲しいと思っている。
歌の技術に磨きがかかる度、表現力が高くなる度その存在の遠さを痛感する。
この負の感情を少し歌に重ねてしまって、余計苦しくなる。
いつかこの苦しさに耐えられず、彼らの歌を聴けなくなってしまうのかな。

でもその時までは彼らの歌を聴いていたい。
きっとずっと応援しているので。

The letters remind me of some of the lyrics that Kanzaku Iori writes, more specifically in I Want to Be Your God.
The idea of struggling to appease fans who praise you so much while still trying to remain true to yourself. The idea of not understanding what others see in you, yet still understanding that you've forcibly inserted yourself in their lives.
Considering that n-buna and suis never show their faces, can it be said that they also wear masks?

尾崎放哉って奥さんに「一緒に死んでくれ」って言ってそれに呆れた奥さんが確か出て行っちゃうって感じだった気がして…そしたらこの主人公の男性も奥さんがいなくなってしまって、中盤に出てくる男の子はその子供？扉を叩かれても無視してるし…

「入れ物がない両手で受ける」は晩年に尾崎放哉が食べるものもなく飲むものもなく、恵んでもらった食べ物を入れる器すらなく、その時に両手で受け取って、人から受け取ることのありがたみを知ったという内容だった。その「恵物」が男性にとって回想に出てきた女の人の「言葉」だったとしたら、それを喉潤うまで、すなわち今のままじゃ全然足りない。君はいないから自分で君の言葉を探す。でもそれが「盗作」と言われる。それでもう自分が何かも分からなくなってるってこと？

「夜を待つ」も「夜行」が死ぬことならこの人は「早く死にたい」とおもってる。でも死ねない。生きれもしない。葛藤がすごい。尾崎放哉も晩年に自然と一体になる日「死」を待ちながら俳句をつづっていた。でも最後は「また明日」が口を滑る。だからまだ死にたくない。相反する感情とやりきれない爆発的な想いを歌にしても誰も聞いてくれない。そう考えるとMVが辛すぎる…

口が滑るっていうのも酒癖が悪かった尾崎放哉に寄せてっていうのと「1984」のウィンストンがオセアニア当局の「愛情省」に捕らえられて拷問されてたからそれで口が滑るとかけてたら面白い

語彙力も考察力もないので文が変な気がする。
色々と考えさせられる音楽で何回もリピートしてしまった。「盗作」は「エルマ」よりもっとドロドロしててなのに奥底は透き通ってる感じがした(伝われ)
