I like how Klopp keeps mentioning throughout the video that Endo was is really excited and happy to be at Liverpool; as much as I would have loved to sign Caicedo or Lavia we don't want players who'd rather be elsewhere, regardless of how talented they may be They're unlikely to give their all for this club and ultimately it never ends well (just look at Lukaku at Chelsea, or remember when Coutinho decided he's rather be at Barca than with us).
I remember when we needed a new LB and all the talk was of us buying Ryan Sessegnon (who at the time was the hot new talent in the UK) and then it turned out he said he'd rather go to Spurs and we pulled out of the deal and bought a fairly unknown LB from a relegated club for a fraction of the proposed Sessegnon fee, and that's how we ended up with one of the best LB in the world in Andy Robertson; I'm not saying Endo will be as good as Robertson for us - though I live in hope - but that's a good example of how going choosing players who value our club and the opportunity we're providing them can really pay off.
Sidenote: I also really like how Klopp mentions that Endo is really nice guy and "family man" in the same breath as saying he's a great player. It's just as important to sign a player who's friendly, caring and easy to get on with as it is to sign a player who's talented; that's how the first great Klopp team succeeded, by becoming like a family.

as a big Stuttgart and Liverpool fan from Stuttgart , i congratulate you to this transfer. 100 % of the stuttgart fans regret this transfer, but wishing him the best. Just Klopp said.. maybe not the greatest name, but a really good player, always fighting, never injured, great attitude. in my opinion a better defensive player as Kimmich, who everybody knows.

This is a great signing given the circumstances. Endo is a versatile player with no injury history apart from 2-3 days for a concusion. He can play RB,CB,CDM, and CM.Hes been capped 50x for Japan. he's not afraid to get stuck in and can run all day and can chip in with a goal or two. We have lost all our MF senior players. This is just what we need, and this won't be our last addition mark, my words.

I trust Jurgen. He looks genuinely happy with this signing. Have to be honest I didn't know much about Endo other than seeing him captain Japan at the World Cup. I spent some time watching his highlight reels and he looks like what we need. A super hard working player who cleans up, clears, creates, and even scores the odd goal. Welcome to the club, Endo! Anyone who complains has obviously never seen him play. There may be more talented players, there may be bigger players, there may be faster players, and there may be younger players with great quality. But his mentality and presence on the pitch, his cleverness with passes, his willingness to take on any tackle, and his quality as a leader make this man a big win to literally any team in the world. After his first year in Stuttgart, every podcast was like: With 25 years, how could this guy not be on the list of top clubs? And after the first year at Liverpool, people will ask the same thing. The guy is a beast, and as much as it hurts to see him on another team, I'm glad he'll be able to fulfill his dream and play for one of the best teams in the world. Congratulations to Liverpool for this excellent signing and congratulations to Wataru for a career that no one would have thought possible 5 years ago.

Take a look at some of the videos of his performances, he is a very good player. No wonder he was made captain of Stuttgart and Japan. He has lots of experience. He will definitely add strength in the middle and help bring on the younger players.

Stuttgart Supporter here. Endo, or as we in Stuttgart call him "LEGENDO" is a real Worrior. Doing the job, not complaining and an absolute leader! On and off the pitch! Despite the age that usually worries the coach and the fans, I'm sure the timing of this transfer has been pretty perfect. They could have and should have bought him maybe 2 or 3 years ago but it is better than nothing. Jurgen is really delighted with that signing. It is very obvious. I just hope that the current transfers will put Liverpool to the level that is has to be at. They really need it. With that squad, the Europa League and Premier League can be on their way to Lİverpool's trophy collection. YNWA!
