親族に胡散臭い宗教にハマった人がいたけど、俺含めた周囲の人間が口を揃えて「あの人に色々と負担を押し付けてしまった」って後悔した話を思い出した。

I feel like this song doesn't just talk about blind faith, cults, superstitions, ... but also parasocial relationships as well, especially certain fans towards their idol in the same vein as his previous song Super-superhero. Or in other words, the song's use of superstition and hypnosis can be considered a metaphor for parasocial relationships.
Both songs talk about parasocial relationships between fans and their idols, where they are clinging blindly towards their "ideal" versions of their idols that they completely disregard the fact that their idols are human and can change just like humans do. But while Super-superhero is talking about toxic fans who became hateful towards their idols after the idol changed their image (think, being more politically outspoken or "gotten the woke mind virus"), this song is more of a cautionary tale about the nature of parasocial relationships, where the fan at first was following the idol blindly, even to the point of willing to harass others. But in the end, the fan finally snapped out of their blind idolisation, finally seeing the idol as merely human just like them, thus seeing the idol's true emotions (and intentions) behind their veil, unlike in Super-superhero where the fan decided to embrace their toxicity, harass their former idol to the point of either quitting, or worse, death, only to repeat the cycle with another idol, another "Superhero".

Both songs talk about parasocial relationships between fans and their idols, where they are clinging blindly towards their "ideal" versions of their idols that they completely disregard the fact that their idols are human and can change just like humans do. But while Super-superhero is talking about toxic fans who became hateful towards their idols after the idol changed their image (think, being more politically outspoken or "gotten the woke mind virus"), this song is more of a cautionary tale about the nature of parasocial relationships, where the fan at first was following the idol blindly, even to the point of willing to harass others. But in the end, the fan finally snapped out of their blind idolisation, finally seeing the idol as merely human just like them, thus seeing the idol's true emotions (and intentions) behind their veil, unlike in Super-superhero where the fan decided to embrace their toxicity, harass their former idol to the point of either quitting, or worse, death, only to repeat the cycle with another idol, another "Superhero".
