I like how the forms are introduced slower this time and not one after another. I felt Trigger's final form was also introduced too early even though he can't control it at first. But it just make him look weak to keep relying on Glitter. Hopefully Decker's will be further back in the series.

Decker just keeps getting better, the realistic approach is on display again here with the GUTS Falcon training and the greater focus on the attack team. Everyone just feels more competent this time around, you can tell from them blowing off Gomora's tail that the team can handle kaiju threats on their own, which makes Ultraman feel more like an ally than a saviour.

I really appreciate the exposition and theories on why the Spheres stopped attacking for a year and Spheresaurus' purpose, it helps answer some of the audience's questions. It does make me wonder if creating Sphere Kaiju would start creating holes in the barrier, which could be how Kengo could come to Earth.

The humor in this episode was great too, the fact that Kanata thought giving rice crackers to an AI who, y'know, can't eat them was a good idea really cracks me up. HANE2's deadpan robotic tone makes him a great source of humor, and his surprising bluntness when he drops the AI politeness makes him pretty fun.

I liked how Gomora was handled here; Sawa's description of him normally being docile is a neat call-back to how the one in the original Ultraman was just minding his own business before the SSSP abducted him, and the tail being blown off as usual actually being a catalyst for the Spheres to infect him was a good way of making a reference to older series have plot significance. Sphere Gomora was cool too, the asymmetrical horns and spiked tail emphasize Gomora's greatest natural weapons and makes him feel completely different from Skull Gomora, despite the suit having parts from the latter.

Last week I wished we got an episode where the fight scenes were longer and more dynamic; this episode fulfilled my wish with the debut of Strong Type. From the epic Gaia-like landing to the POV shots and swinging Sphere Gomora by his tail, Strong Type lives up to its name. Really appreciate the unevacuated hospital adding tension and stakes to the fight too, and the Nurse Cannon interrupting the beam clash between Strong Type and Sphere Gomora was genius direction. My only issue here is that Sphere Gomora's suit actor seems to be pulling his punches a little, which to be fair might be due to the suit being fragile.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'm enjoying this so far. Seems like Decker is beginning to find its direction, and everything is developing pretty well. Next week has the return of Mons-Ahgar, and I can't wait to see how he'll be handled.

Oooooooo decker just keeps getting better, I really have no complaint on this one. The pacing is great, the character building is great, and the fight is the best so far, even the OST is great. My initial complaint was that the episode didn't really finish the problem of how the crew is still unable to fly with hanejiro, but it looks like they'll finish it next episode when guts hawk and falcon combine (they better do it right next episode or it just throws away this perfect episode's plot). Really loving this a lot, definitely brings me back to the dyna days, Thanks Tsuburaya!

Decker is solid so far, it's definitely an improvement over Trigger when it comes to pacing. The Spheres covering the monster to create an entirely new Sphere Kaiju is a very interesting concept. I hope they'll introduce a Terranoid Decker in the near future.

When Asumi asked about auto pilot from Hane2, I realized it immediately that he wanted Hane2 to keep a secret. But this is a great idea to show not just how Asumi will avoid on being busted, but also reminding Dyna fans on how close Asuka with Hanejiro. Especially that ending, lol

By the way, WOW! The change has rise animation again now, athough I wonder if it's only for several times like how Dyna was made before or not

El episodio estuvo genial, excelente el tiempo que se tomaron para mostrar el entrenamiento con el GUTS hawk y la aparición de Gomora. Y el debut del Strong Type fue espectacular.

Was hoping Gomora would have been added to Decker's kaiju assistance group so he had a power/high strength kaiju when he ultimately needs to take a speed form since we've already seen Decker summon one kaiju companion already.

I like the notion that monsters are confused at the sudden merge, as if they’re unwilling to merge but the strange presence makes their instincts go haywire thus making them open and vulnerable to spheres.

We get to see the assimilation this time, since last time only Neo Gaigaraid is shown but not the process. Look forward to see an army of Terranoids turned into Zelganoids in Decker, since New Gen defense teams usually have more resources than their Neo Frontier counterpart and there is no Final Odyssey to stop Project F this time. I still think Decker is the byproduct of Zelganoid's data obtained from Gransphere (the Timer is moved to the left as Zelganoid exploded from eating Solgent Beam at its usual middle Timer, also the weird armament on Decker's left arm) but he gained freedom and broke free from Spheres.

I absolutely love how the captain has a perfectly logical reasoning for recruiting younger people unlike the original guts select where two high school kids were selected just because they knew the chairman and ya ik Akito was supposed to be a genius but that's just a plot device. If Akito was 30, it would've made zero difference. Also hated how Kengo was just recruited in for being Trigger. At least Daigo is already a guts member and has gone through real training. Thank God they acknowledged it here

Edit: A Dyna original Kaiju next episode? This just keeps getting better. That punch from Decker strong tho. Man it reminds me of Dyna's first strong type where he punched the Kaiju in the mouth just like Decker did here. Cool stuff.

This was such a good episode! I can't believe how much I'm loving this show so far! Everybody is full of personality and likeable! And Decker Strong -type was SO COOL!

Gomorra acting up and showing unusual behavior compared to its' usual patterns is like what happened with Deathdrago on the previous episode where the presence and threat the Spheres held had caused the survival instincts of native Kaijus to act up. This is the first mission of GUTS-Select and the team was actually holding their own with GUTS Falcon and GUTS Hawk synchronized attack formations until the Spheres have gone active after a full year to assimilate the wounded Gomorra.

The Spheres in Dyna were way nastier when they assimilated matter with their color making contact with whatever matter they assimilate and slowly melting into it like amoeba before encasing themselves on their host entirely turning it into their twisted abominations. When older animation and CGI makes the concept of matter assimilation 10 times creepier compared to newer animation and CGI. But then again, the Spheres in Dyna have mostly assimilated non-living matter while these Spheres went straight to assimilation of a living organism which would have been harder to control.

ガッツセレクトの初出動回だったが、隊員各々にしっかり役割としての意味があったのとハネジローとの交流回としてもわかりやすくてよかった。リュウモンも皆と少し打ち解けている感じが見えたり入隊理由判明したりとそれぞれの心境や変化も見られそうで楽しみ。

I love how the Sphere graft themselves onto the monsters, and since they appeared after Gomora lost its tail I wonder if they need sufficient damage to fuse with a monster

Amazing episode!!! I love how Decker has callbacks to Dyna yet feels so much like its own universe. The pacing is just infinitely better than Trigger. Its so good that Im actually comparing Decker to Z now and honestly it has the potential to be even better than Z

This series is definitely an improvement of Trigger series, they introduced the new form with some great and epic moments and the visual is just perfect and entertaining too.... But I also can't wait to see Kengo back again 👌

Decker has a good start and I like this show even more! Including the Type Change Scene, and the 1 punch KO finisher of Strong Type, the characters (Esp. Captain and Vice Captain) are great. HANE2 has become more likable. And GUTS Hawk, Falcon's fight scenes are awesome. Nursedessel is cool too. Also, the new Gomora looks really scary and cool.

God, I adore Decker's strong type. Don't get me wrong, I love the chonky thicc lads we've been getting for strength forms lately (adds a lot of visual variety to silhouettes, ya know?) but man, the subtle way it's slightly more chiseled, heavier plating on the armor sections, the extra padding on the palms gives the impression that Decker's supposed to wearing wearing gauntlets, uggghhh, *chefs kiss* .

Also, that FINISHER! Strong and Miracle are supposed to be close-range and long-range combat oriented respectively, so while I do have a soft spot for Dyna's Gulnate Bomber Shooting Version, it always struck me as a bit odd. Dyna's Strong type really wanted a physical attack as it's main finisher, like Leo's signature kick. (Oh who am I kidding, PUNCHING a bolt of condensed energy at your opponent is always going to be raw as heck!)

Ngl, Decker's Strong Type power looks promising so far. Quite a great design indeed with all the armor it has. But his physique is the sole problem, it's not as muscular as Dyna's Strong Type. So I still prefer Dyna's Strong Type over Decker's. But still, at least it respects the amazing strength and power the form has

コックピットが不細工な所とかも元は無人機だからって説明で納得もできるし

ガッツセレクトの描き方が丁寧ですごく面白い。日常の描写をしっかりしてくれてるからいざ戦闘に入った際のチームワークにも無理がないし、今回もスフィアがなかったらゴモラ撃破まではいかなくても撃退まではいけた気がする。
25:05　の描写を見ても今回の勝利はウルトラマンだけではなくみんなでつかんだ勝利ってのが伝わってくる。何が言いたいかというとウルトラマンデッカー最高！笑
