It is absolutely insane how the first appearance and the first shout of Godzilla in every movie just brightens my face into a wide smile and almost makes me tear up for I can once again be the little boy that watches his hero fight. The clumsy movement, the beams, the suspension when two monsters just stand there shouting at each other, it all feels like the good old days. Thank you man, this video punched a hole into my depression.

Absolutely incredible! Everything from the Swift animation, the special effects, the fight choreography, it's all just so top-notch. I also love that this is a sequel to the Heisei Era and that Godzilla Junior definitely did his father proud! I really hope to see more of these continuations every Godzilla day, or every other Godzilla day considering how long it took to make this one. The wait absolutely paid off and I think this is one of the best things that's come out of the Reiwa era by far! Hopefully every year we can get another continuation of the Heisei Era and how Junior is handling being the king of the monsters since Goji senior assuming there is a larger team helping out for potential future projects. I love this take on Heisei Gigans and how they are not just beam spammers, rather they have also retained some physical fighting attributes which personally I find to be the best part of kaiju fights! I definitely got a Superman vibe from Godzilla this time around, like humanity needed a hero and it happened to be Godzilla reappearing whenever they needed him. The world that they've built is just so abundant with storytelling and new kaiju fight scenes and it's so hype to see if they can take Godzilla somewhere new while keeping it traditional and fresh! Amazing job to the whole team!

The fact that this might be a continuation of Godzilla vs Destoryah and it was Junior fighting the Gigans is 🤯 not only does that mean we now have an official heisei Gigan but we finally get to see Junior in action for the first time and see him for the first time in 27 years I’m so happy Toho Liscened and marketed this because now it’s cannon with the Heisei series 8/10 well done well done

Holy shit this was amazing. The added gigan abilities like the larger saw form as well as rex's whip blades and super laser at the end were awesome. Godzilla's new white "Form" was cool too, reminiscent of a flame growing hotter, from blue to white, as well as his use of his hands, feet and tail in the fight. Absolutely amazing.

This makes a lot of sense. Gigan is very strong but was always shown to work best in a group. Seeing a whole pack of Gigan's and one as the alpha shows that Gigan is supposed to fight in a pack. I find this very cool and this animation is incredible!

Love everything about this! Gigan’s look, Godzilla’s design, especially the Alpha Gigan and how it’s buzzsaw is replaced by a more powerful chest laser! You took the design of these kaiju and elevated them to a level where you recognize them, but they can still function in new and unique ways and that is just awesome! Please do more.

I like this concept with Gigan. The whole sadistic almost mercenary-like killer vibe with Gigan was all I feel he really had in terms of personality or importance, elsewise he had nothing memberable, both in terms of his actual threat or even his appearance , as it was just weird at best. He was legit just a henchman Kaiju, so the idea there are multiple and/or maybe a hive mind is a pretty cool concept to me. Would love to see that meet with the original, just have an army of sadistic Gigans that team up to try and kill other Kaiju in the worst and/or creative ways possible.

Damn it, this is how you create an engaging Godzilla fight! Godzilla doesn’t just get rag-dolled by the other kaiju until he decides to pull out his red spiral beam or whatever: he has an actual fight with the opposing kaiju. Easily in my top-2 for best animated fights of 2022.

The white being a more powerful version of the beam was smart and nostalgic. Whenever you thought of a Godzilla with a white atomic breath, you think Gojira 1954 ONLY. Now, he's not alone, and it shows just how powerful og Gojira's breath was, but then again Heisei have junior some of his energy when he died.

It was good. Started out really cool but the CGI got a little janky when he started fighting the red one. Maybe more hand to hand instead of all ranged attacks. I've noticed that in the Monsterverse that they keep pushing the breath weapons more and more. I miss seeing him as an incredibly powerful badass who can use his arms, tail, and even head as a weapon.

If this Godzilla really is Jr from the Heisei era, then I like that detail at the end when he gains the white power up thing and his chest glows in a spot. This could be a reference to the spot that Destoroyah impaled him in 1995. The white atomic breath and charge could also be a reference to the OG goji or the micro-oxygen beam Destoroyah had when he was smaller.

I love this so much, especially the kaiju designs. Gigan and Gigan Rex look like proper aliens, and Godzilla looks like a perfect blend of the Heisei, Shin, and Monsterverse designs. Absolutely amazing. My one gripe is that the sound effects used for Godzilla, especially the Roar and Atomic Breath, just sound really off

Well the ending was a little anti climactic, but the animation was fucking awesome. Godzilla's design looked badass, and Gigan Rex was kind of a letdown. His design was ok, but his fancy little powers and attacks amounted to nothing. Godzilla's white form was pretty fkn dope though. Overall, I'd give Godzilla vs Gigan Rex a 6.5/10.

I’m surprised how many references this makes to the Heisei movies, both in visuals and in audio/musical cues. As a longtime G-fan who was first introduced to Godzilla via the Heisei movies when they aired on TV in the early 2000’s, and still has a soft spot for them to this day, this brings a smile to my face. 😊
