My interpretation the song highlights more about the wrong nature of good and evil, of how binary it is. My local priest/professor have answered this question of mine if evil and goodness exists in tandem. He told me that it's a wrong way to look at it (in a Catholic sense that is), that goodness and love exists by itself. It will never have a dependency with evil. It shines by its nature not the shadow that obscures it. And ngl, I get where he is coming from. A concept such as love/goodness shouldn't by dependent on it's inverse just to exist or even shine brighter. It just so happens that the inverse is an option provided that corrupts it. And it just also happens that a person's love/goodness is radiant by itself, shining brighter the more a person expresses it. (There is more into this, I just can't put it into words).

Another thing I've gotten is that we shouldn't rely on other people's concept of heaven just to find salvation, especially when they restrict someone or if it's inner workings are faulty. And finally the importance of finding a person's own paradise (safe-space) and the importance of a universal love of self and others if such a paradise is to allow people other than the self to be let in. Because that will hurt both individual and the invitee if not prepared.

That's a nice message to have (as someone who's quite religious, also fyi feel free to add or disagree, just giving my 2 cents)
