I really hope this anime is more faithful to the Visual Novel than the original anime was and thus doesn't exaggerate the horror aspects. The original Visual Novel was more of a mystery series with a few horror elements, but it never went too far with it.
So many anime fans got the wrong impression of the series because of what the original anime did with it.

I cannot wait for this awesome family friendly anime that teaches about friendship and family.

Also Hanyuu is so adorable! She'd never done anything horrible like cursing, torturing, murdering, or anything like that. She is so loyal to her friends and respect others.

I haven't read the novel or the manga. Higurashi is one of my favorites anime ever, I hope this new adaptation doesn't ruined. Instead of this, they should made a new adaptation of umineko, it really need it.

I'm glad they kept the soundtrack from the older anime adaptation, it's so good. Will be interesting to see how the scary scenes look with the new character designs.

The old anime version has all the Kai, Nakegoroshi, Rei etc trickle along for years till I didn't care anymore.
