The way the spines thrust inward when he fires the breath really adds to the feeling of weight behind the blast, even though we never see the beam nor the damage it causes

This is absolutely horrific, and I LOVE IT. The concept of Godzilla alone is frightening, bringing it to this level is so much better than I could’ve imagine because he’s just so big and imposing in this iteration. And his eyes and face being so expressive is honestly even more terrifying lol, like he’s conscious of the destruction he causes and how utterly helpless we are as humans compared to him.

One of the things I really like that I'm seeing a bit of in this trailer is how even though Godzilla is CG, he still moves like a human wearing a suit. I would imagine they used mocap like they did with Shin Godzilla, but having those very human movements makes him feel more like Godzilla because we're use to to seeing him move like a human in a suit after 50 years of suit movies. It's a specific type of body language that's part of the character.

The difference in speed of being thrown vs falling is phenomenal. Those train and boat throw shots really get the point across of how powerful Gojira really is. Can't wait!

Its always interesting to see the Japanese versions of shots or ideas seen in the American Godzilla iterations… the swimming under the ships, the gradual powering up of the beam starting at the tail….

I love how the roar is so loud it’s ear ringing. Really shows how powerful Gojira’s Body is, especially his durability and his vocal cords. If humans heard that roar they would probably die of that ear splitting noise. I just can’t wait to watch this movie.

Monsterverse godzilla was amazingly designed but the Japanese original stays OG at the top, the way he has been designed into a much more horrific style and a perfect modernization by the visuals are really epic, this is the beloved figure of our favorite kaiju rising more and more! :)

This is what I expected the trailer going to be good, the cinematic effect is stunning, the characters are very emotional, and his dorsal fins are absolutely 100% fantastic. This is one of the best trailer I’ve ever seen since the official trailer of 2014. Happy Birthday Godzilla.

I love how the dorsal plates extend outward as the atomic energy is building up. They are paying homage to the previous Godzilla movies. And I hope that this is a retelling of Gojira. Or at least told from a different perspective.

This is the best-looking Godzilla yet! I like the fluidity of the movement of his upper body. It doesn't go overboard here like the Hollywood version tends to do at times. Still very reptilian, T-Rex-ish.--And the overall design almost takes your breath away. I like the look of Minus One; this truly feels like a return to form

This film is really bringing Godzilla back to his roots as a villain and a representation of destruction and chaos brought on by nuclear weaponry and also as something unnatural also much like nuclear weapons setting it in post war Japan literally on the tail end of the war is really hitting this home I also wonder if it's another reboot or if it fits into the Toho Godzilla canon somehow

I love how it moves, it isn’t agile so you still feel the weight but whenever it’s moving part of it fast it’s due to twitching so basically it gets to move fast when it wants but also still feels like a massive kaiju
