I think Avril is one of the few international artists that really penetrated Japanese culture. Her image and pop appeal was a natural connection. I think her music really spoke to the frustrations of young women in Japan and all over the world. Now we hear her as an adult singing her old music from different life experiences and it still works. Maybe it's a realization we just love Avil for who she is, no matter what she is singing. I really hope Avril continues to grow as an artist in a more mature style. I think she should make a country album !!!

Thanks to Avril. You totally changed my life when I was a junior high school student in a rustic place in Japan . I sometimes translated your lyrics, like Sk8er boy of course including this song and American temporary teacher kindly checked them. These songs helped me to know new world except Japan and I was curious about English. Now, I'm 33y.o. Unfortunately I couldn't enter the university due to poverty in my home but because of basic English skills, I work for an international company in urban areas. Thank you Avril. You definitely changed a lot of people's values and lives💛💛

My life has completely changed since i got to know her song. My English grade was like the worst in my school back then. But her personality and music resonated with me to break myself away. Somehow I'm in Canada working as an engineer now. If she hadn't been in my music scene, I haven't been who I am today. Can't thank you enough Avril.
