I just noticed something. So Kinger apparently starts to remember things whenever he's in the dark. And in ep 2 when he has the bucket over his head, he remembered Ragatha's first day at the circus, but as soon as he takes the bucket off, he stops remembering. That little scene was foreshadowing this moment-

Each episode of this show just gets better and better, and I think this is my favorite so far.
The moments with Kinger and Pomni are were amazing revelations towards Kingers character and history, the confirmation of him having a wife who joined him in the game, the little bits of his origin of being a computer science major which explains him being in the game the longest, the reason why he's obsessed with entomology, and the literal moment of him glowing while helping Pomni get through a tough situation, it's great. I'm also realizing the bit of him at 6:28 with him saying "I'm starting to think" isn't just a little gag, it's probably him being literal as they descend into darkness, giving him more and more clarity.

I now realize why kinger was so obsessed with insect collections in the first episode, his wife loved bugs, and probably made a collection from adventure they had together. Now kinger was obsessed with talking about them because they reminded him of her, poor guy 😔

Kinger telling Pomni she's stronger than she thinks made me cry, plus him glowing while they walk out of hell is beautiful. The monster caught me off guard, you had the great bit with the eyes, and then that more realistic-looking creature just came out of nowhere. Also I love that Ragatha just got sick of Jax and tied him up.

Ever since the pilot Kinger was my favourite character of the show and I’m so grateful that he just keeps getting better, it seems that in this part 9:42 the Angel didn’t hypnotised Kinger directly but instead it seem that the many eyes in the mouth triggered his memories of his wife abstracted wife and why he got close to try to touch the Angel, to tell her that she is beautiful, calm her! It’s… so cute. I hope that the show doesn’t take advantage of my attachment to him to subject him to a tragic and or sad end.

I really love how Kinger is written here. He’s insane but not stupid. He knows when it’s time to be serious, he’s empathetic & mindful, he cares about his friends, especially Pomni. He cares. I don’t even think I’d call him insane, more traumatized. I love how he’s misunderstood by his friends, but the writers let the audience know his true colors first which is very important

I love how so many people can connect with the struggles of the characters in this episode! From Zooble struggling with loving themself and feeling detatched from their body, to Cain struggling with his own self worth and not knowing who he is if he's bad at the one thing he's supposed to be good at. And Kinger struggling to cope with the loss of his wife, as well as trying to hold on to his sanity. It's really tragic knowing how he's still in there, and he's aware that he can and will lose himself. The moment where Pomni is sad to hear that Kinger will probably not remember their talk is also something that i feel a lot of people whose loved ones are struggling with memory loss can relate to.
I really loved TADC for its wacky plot lines, but my love for it grew so much more in this episode when i got to learn more about the characters! Great job, Glitch!

I love how they very subtly foreshadowed this new side of Kinger in the last episode when he was talking to Ragatha with the bucket over his head because it put him in darkness and he was calmer and able to think straight. I didn't even give it a second thought. I thought it was just like when someone is lucid for a minute before going right back to being crazy. Screen writers take notes THAT is how you foreshadow something properly.

I really like the small detail at 16:22 of Kinger raising the gun to avoid pointing it at Pomni as she walks by. It could be that he's just moving it out of her way, but given his lucidity in this moment and his implied familiarity with firearms, it possibly shows he was well trained and still remembers to never point a gun at another person (even if its unloaded and even if it might not kill Pomni given they're in a simulation where they can't starve/asphyxiate/etc). And if not that, you could still interpret it as Kinger not wanting to point a dangerous weapon at his friend

Kinger is a wonderful friend to Pomni. I don't have dementia or alzheimers, but the trauma from my past has made it incredibly hard to recall old memories. A lot of my childhood wound up forgotten, but the few memories I can recall were of my older brother and our mom whenever we had fun as a family. Kinger's clearest memory being of his wife is honestly very touching a pretty relatable. Sometimes you don't need to remember everything all the time, just what matters and when you need it.

Kinger’s talk with Pomni was really tear-jerking, because in January, my best friend moved away to visit his terminally ill grandma and I lost my great aunt to bone cancer this summer; i would always talk to her on the way home from school with my dad. Kinger’s quote was so heartfelt and deep.
