Released to the world as the opening theme of Cowboy Bebop, “TANK!” has remained an enduring classic—frequently featured in commercials and visual works, and loved across generations.
Now, a quarter century later, the iconic track receives a major update.
Premiered at Montreux Jazz Festival Japan 2024 and performed exclusively live ever since, “TANK! Extended” takes the original to an entirely new dimension. Performed, of course, by the original members of SEATBELTS, this super-long version lets listeners immerse themselves in Yoko Kanno’s musical vocabulary like never before.

Bebop was a mystery to me until my friends in college introduced us on a late night in 2021. I had heard of it, but would have no idea how special the compositions of Yoko Kanno and the songs from Seatbelts would become to us. This show is truly the greatest animated show ever made, with the greatest television soundtrack ever made to match
