Carrying around your partner in a way that she is literally watching your back, is very unique and the line "don't you trust me?", makes me think this could be referencing the Frog and the Scorpion.

Not one for body horror I'm afraid, but I can't deny this is a concept I'd at least watch, so I could see how it may unfold.

I’m almost certain I recognize the artist behind the thumbnail. I think that’s Noobovich. The lighting even in game reminds me of his paintings, and the woman especially looks like one of his.

That said, a cyberpunk, Tsutomu Nihei-inspired game here my wife hugs me the whole time is something I never knew I wanted. But here we are
