Loads of tributes to the T.D.G through out this show from Mars fight to 2 Ultramens working together. This ending full tributes to Tiga's final episode and the movie. However, Koichi Sakamoto missed out 1 big tribute and that is Kyrieloid. In episode 24 Kyrieloid should show up and explain to Yuna why emotion gets in the way to be a saviour as Carmeara brought chaos while Kengo is knocked out. I predicted Kengo's ending in epsiode 25 preview video last week. If you dont belive me then go cheak out and I made this prediction base off the anime Bakugan battle brawlers season 1/2 with similar event. The first epsiode and last episode with the title and clay model explosion seals it, Trigger scores higher than all Ginga, X, Orb, Geed, R/B and Taiga. As much as I want to with all the bias, Z is still better than Trigger due to the story's pasting being to quick and clearly some business decisions interfered. If Z gets a 8/10 Trigger gets a 7.8/10. Interms of characters development, Trigger has more like Akito, Darggon, Igins. While Z focus on Haruki and Z growth through Jugglers discipling (and him carrying the show to success). Remeber to "Build the future, where everyone can shine from their heart". Smile, smile so the pandemic will be over soon. 😁😁😁

AWESOME!!!! Congratulations Tsuburaya, for another great series! The ending brought me tears, even being a little predictable (Z was better in this way). The fight against Carmeara was awesome. I liked the last action of Kengo, opening for a sequel. Akito and Yuna were true friends and it was touching too. Now the hype is with Ultra Galaxy Fight and the 2nd season of Ultraman anime. And I will wait anxious for a new series in the middle of the year.

I have to admit, if Trigger Movie takes place two years later, I'm guessing that at some point after the core is fully stabilized, Kengo was able to get out and reunite with the others.

I'm so glad that finally, the author realized that darkness doesn't necessarily mean evilness. This is something way better than Tiga which is simply just lightness beats darkness.

Unlike the other reboots other shows make, this one really lives out to tiga’s name. The story is different and makes a huge impact, the plot twists, and everything was fantastic. I am so goals you guys didn’t sully the name of Tiga. Trigger has made Tiga far more special to me as my favorite ultraman. Fantastic, bravo.

For those who haven't watched Tiga, I strongly recommend watching the last 2 episodes. There are SO MANY references to Tiga's final battle in this episode. Bonus the ending of Final Odyssey as well.

Normally I would have some sort of analysis or breakdown to say like I have every episode but I can't find a way to explain this one because I can't summarize the finale of this series.
Highlights:
What I do like about this finale is that the Ultra wasn't the only one fighting but the whole team created a plan that made full use of all their greatest resources. Yuna utilizing the Eternity Core's power and instead of using it herself she sends that power to the Nursedessai and firing the Nurse Cannon using it. The cannon was fired at Trigger Truth who used that power along with his own to fire a Truth Zepperion Beam towards Megalothor thus killing her.
Ignis giving the power of Trigger Dark to Kengo who infuses his Trigger Ultra Key with it becoming the Trigger Truth key. Kengo then using it to become Trigger Truth where his form is a mixture of his base form with additional dark outlines. This is similar to how back in Ultraman Gaia Fujimiya who was the host of Ultraman Agul gave his powers to Gamu who was the host for Ultraman Gaia. With it, Ultraman Gaia's form was changed permanently given black outlines to his base form and also gained Gaia Supreme. Basically Trigger Truth along with how that came to be is a reference to Gaia Supreme.
Despite the victory, the Eternity Core was still in the danger of exploding so Kengo had to make a tough decision. Because he has an untainted portion of the Eternity Core's power, only he can restabilize the core and keep it from collapsing. With his final farewells, Kengo went to the core itself. Kengo sacrificed himself to protect everyone's smiles.
Final verdict, I give this series a 7/10
In my honest opinion, I find this finale to be a bit underwhelming. Aside from the Gaia Supreme reference which I saw coming, the kids cheering Trigger on didn't feel all that impactful as it's more nostalgia than anything which I sadly do not have. At least I feel that way when I can't help but compare it to the finale of Ultraman Z where Z was knocked out and all the members of Storage cried out to Z to get back up. Maybe it also doesn't help that we got to really know all of the main members of Storage via a character focused episode on each of them or at least know enough to know why they are like that and that was especially so for Haruki and Bakko. Sure we got to know quite a bit about Yuna, Director Shizuma, Akito, Marlulu, Ignis, and Captain Tatsumi, but I just don't feel it as much.
For the positives of this series funny enough was how well the Three Dark Giants were redone. The flaw of movie villains is that we wouldn't get to know them very much and this was the case for the Dark Giants of the Tiga series. What this series did was introduce the Dark Giants very early on and this gives opportunity to flesh them out but also develop the three of them not as a group but also develop them as individuals. This series did an excellent job of that and it ultimately resulted in their group falling apart which was something that was building up since the start of the series.
I very much like how we got to see more usage of the Glitter form even though it came at the cost of it not being as strong and how Trigger Dark became his own being after it chose Ignis to keep himself alive. Dark Trigger's design actually makes him look like the Dark Giants which fits well to what he once was. I wished Ignis would have utilized his two Kaiju keys more though. Lastly, the earth defense force utilizing power-ups based on kaijus will always be something I take interest in.
Overall, this is why I give this series a 7/10. I've been hearing things about Ultraman Decker and that it's a New Generation Dyna? Guessing that means we are going to continue with the universe of Alternate Neo Earth Frontier. Sure I'll roll with that except I rather see a fresh new Ultra and not some new gen version of another one. I am more curious about Ultraman Regulus that was just introduced in "Destined Crossroads".

This was a good ending, I liked how it mimicked tigas final battle, and I do feel bad for the giants of darkness( well except you know who) but I’m glad I had gotten into this season, and I can’t wait for the movie, I hope to also see the next ultra soon

For a show that is called New Generation Trigger, there is only a handful of monsters brought from Ultraman Tiga while the majority of the new monsters where just recolored versions or have minor alterations so hopefully for the next Ultraman series which would be New Generation Dyna, we want to see more monsters from Ultraman Dyna and I'm not saying bringing back old monsters was wrong, just like when they bought in Banila and Aboras from Ultraman 1966, its just that Tsuburaya should give a try in bringing the monsters the show was paying tribute to just to see them in action once more after the original show

At first I had a bit of issue with the part where Trigger recovered with the help of the children (like in Tiga) without actually being in too much trouble (whereas Tiga turned into stone first, which added to the seriousness) but overall I really enjoyed this last episode. Trigger truth was not what I was expecting but liked, and the more private conclusion between Trigger and Camerra wrapped up the relationship between them as Camerra felt light for the first time. Trigger sacrificing himself to stabilise the core as a plot (kudos to the actors' acting as Akito who was the one who hated Kengo at first now became his closest bud) was a nice way for Trigger to lay low before the movie.
All in all, they paid tribute to Tiga while also having their own conclusion, where Trigger fully embrace himself as a human, and a giant of both light and darkness.
Also I gotta admit by not forcing the "smile, smile" down our throat after the first 3 eps made this ep way less cringey.

Gotta say they end the series well, they have similar scenes that reminds us of Ultraman Tiga and at the same time execute a different ending for Ultraman Trigger

Man, the ending. It's rare seeing an Ultraman being a sacrifice in the final episode. Usually it's just defeat the final boss and they just go back to daily lives or go with the Ultraman to space.

After watching this last episode, I even thought "if Tiga had a Light and Dark form, what would it be like? I think it would be more epic than the Trigger version"
Maybe Trigger was made because the regrets in Tiga's story weren't realized, because that's a lot of different stories.
But I really like it when Carmaerra disappears in Trigger's arms and just try to show her in her human form, it will hit me more.

This show is far from Tiga's, (or Zeta, Geed, Orb) standard plot-wise: There wasn't enough build-up for the events of the storylines. The structure of the plot was too much forced to resemble Tiga, yet Tiga has 52 episodes to build up, while Trigger only has 25. 25 episodes are theoretically possible to develop a complete storyline, but it has to be compact, and not waste screentime with useless information, which is unfortunately not the case for this show. Meanwhile, there are quite a few arcs/plot devices that are significantly underdeveloped. Like the multiverse travel of Chairman, the connection of Tiga's universe as a whole, the background of Kengo, the prophecy of Kyrieloid, the flower Kengo grows... etc. The overall feeling I had watching this show is that all plots are awkwardly rushed and forced. But after all, we did not pay to watch this. Thank you, Tsuburaya, for producing this show at such a difficult time and make available to us for free. I hope you much success in the future series.
