Nob is insane - first time in the car, one warm-up lap and one attack lap and he gets practically the same time as the development driver, to be later beaten by only 0,5 sec on fresh tires. Man's still got it!

This really gives me some hope for the future. As Mr.Tsuchiya pointed out, the sound of the engine is essential in my opinion, to connect with the car. Fantastic work from toyota 🙌.

I hope Toyota is able to get other companies on board to make the fuel available everywhere.

We need to make small changes that do not disrupt people's lives. Solar panels on buildings, hydrogen fuel in ICE cars, and using less energy in your daily routine. These things all add up to a sustainable future.

Love seeing and hearing this in the Super Taikyu races, especially when the president of Toyota is driving.

I could never imagine the CEO of Mercedes or BMW ever setting foot into a racing car at official endurance races. Hopefully these Corolla will maybe come to the Nürburgring VLN races one day to show Hydrogen racing in Europe.

The special refueling cam at the big hydrogen station is extra fun 😄

It’s good to see more hope for hydrogen cars. I think they make much more sense from an environmental standpoint, especially considering how bad it is for the plant to gather the materials necessary to make an EV. Hydrogen cars also appear MUCH more fun to drive because they have a gearbox, a power curve and make good sounds!

It’s rare that I see something that actually makes me excited for the future, but this Corolla has done just that. It sounds incredible! I really hope that hydrogen sports cars (especially manual ones) become a viable market in the future

Hydrogen seems like the best chance for enthusiasts to still have their beautiful engine sounds while allowing those that don't like engine noises to get an HEV. This is the best of both worlds. Thank you Toyoda-san for giving us hope!!!

This is why Toyota is my favourite car brand ever! Theyre testing hydrogen cars while others heading into the EV market. Toyota is quite late into EV but they did it anyway alongside Subaru. Toyota has achieved more than other car manufacturers by producing these fun yet brilliant cars!!! Keep it up Toyota!!

やばい。想像の遥かに上だった。
石油が枯渇する、もしくはカーボンニュートラルで使えなくなる時代ってのはかならず来るとは思うけど、それまでに確実にこのエンジン間に合うじゃん。産業構造も今とそれほど変わらないので日本経済にとっても非常に意味が大きい。
土屋さんも言ってたけど、音って本当に重要。今のハイブリッドとか電気自動車も音はするけど、ガヤガヤと混み合った状況では本当にわからない。後ろに車が居ても気づかないんだよね。
排気音が持つ楽しさもそうだけど、安全って意味でも本当に重要。
後は、水素GRヤリスでWRC参戦して、ヨーロッパで「エンジンだってエコで早いんだぜ！」ってやってほしいな。

燃費から考えてハイブリットになるのかもしれないけど問題点は重さ。
今まで開発した人が過去に何人も消されてきた水素エンジン。

やっぱり、エンジン音っていいよね！　と再認識した次第。
昔は水素エンジンといったら、出力がガソリンの半分だったけども・・・ほんと良くぞここまで。
プレイグニッションと相当格闘したはずだし、吸気した空気中に気体水素を押し込むのも大変だったと思う。
空気吸ってるのでNOxは避けられないけども、後処理頑張ってほしい！
ホント最近のトヨタは熱いなぁ・・・ほかのコメにもあるけど、ホンダがこれを担ってほしかった。

I sincerely appreciate the subtitles in english 😁. I have loved best motoring for the better part of 20 years and would watch it even without subtitles.

All that being said, Sports cars will always have a future in this world! I remember being a 19-20 yr old and vowing to never own an electric car as they would be abominations, now 40 yrs old. I cant wait to see the future of electric. every car that comes out is mindbogglingly powerful. I will miss the scream of loud exhaust but with age comes (usually) wisdom and understanding and I really am excited for the future of cars in general let alone sports cars.

I swear Tsuchiya-san doesn't age !! he looks the same he did back in 2003 😂

水素というエコなイメージのあるものでレースで走ったというのも凄いんです。
良い音で変速機もあって速いしカッコいい。

もしそうだったら、180SXもチェイサー、スープラもスカイラインもZもずっと乗れる時代が来るのかもね。

この水素の技術は、TOYOTAは車で終わらせる気が無いと思います。色々と不利な点が多いのは承知してます。でも、その先の未来を応援します。

そして、最近は静粛性ばかりが評価されたりします。
