50 years following the release of his self-titled first solo album McCartney, featuring Paul playing every instrument and writing and recording every song, Paul McCartney will release McCartney III on December 11th. Paul hadn’t planned to release an album in 2020, but in the isolation of “Rockdown,” he soon found himself fleshing out some existing musical sketches and creating even more new ones.

In 1970, a man named Paul McCartney hit a rough patch of deep contemplation and depression, unable to face some of his greatest friends due to dispute. This resulted in McCartney.
Again, in 1980, Paul's former group Wings had dissolved, and he found a way to express it through music, resulting in McCartney II.
Now, in 2020, Paul and the world still find themselves in times of trouble, looking for a way to get through one of the biggest global crises ever. His way? McCartney III.

I actually have no doubt that this album will be a masterpiece for years to come. It was crafted and tended to in a time much like the first two, and maybe it'll even shape the way for a brighter future for many people. God bless you Paul McCartney, you're singlehandedly one of the greatest musical icons and geniuses that this world has, and will, ever know. You've made a difference to this one person, and I don't doubt you've made, are making, or will make a difference in many other people's lives.

I love the fact that McCartney and McCartney III will be coming out within 12 weeks of each other, this year. That’s not including the Flaming Pie Archive Edition and the Rupert rerelease. I love all his releases...especially this year when he makes sad times brighter. Thank you, Sir Paul.
