Okay, it’s theory time!

Let’s talk about the title first: 心海. I’m not Japanese and don’t understand Japanese, but I’m Chinese and some Japanese words are the same or are very similar to Chinese words, just like in this case. In Chinese, 心 means heart and 海 means ocean. I also saw from another comment that 心海 (pronounced shinhai in Japanese) and *深海 (also pronounced shinhai in Japanese) sound the same, so there’s definitely a connection between the two (which I’ll talk about later :D )

At the start of video, the girl with aquamarine hair appears in a white shirt with an orange mark with a word (I think it was 黑, which means black in Chinese)we also see an orange heart on the left side of her. The orange heart symbolises the passion she has in her heart.

The fact that there was a word “黑” (black) on her shirt and also how she looked at a map with an orange and a purple line at 0:59, which I’m thinking is a train map since there was a purple train on the purple line, as well as how the orange and purple lines intersect one another makes me think that the girl with aquamarine hair was looking for the girl which was wearing dark blue and had her hair dark blue as well. Oh, and also how she tries to get to her throughout the video :p

I’m pretty sure the two girls are actually two different sides of the girl instead of actually being two different people, with the fact that they look pretty much the same. Why is the aquamarine-haired girl looking for the girl with dark blue hair? To me, this looks like the girl going to confront herself, to face her fears. Or it could also be interpreted as the girl trying to get herself together and get her life back together, the city ruins that are seen at different parts of the video representing her life.

In the chorus, we see one of Aquamarine girl’s attempts to reach out to dark blue haired girl. We see aquamarine’s heart pump faster and larger(sort of). As aquamarine runs to the train where dark blue is in, we see the water waves around her grow larger. These water waves represent her hope towards reaching out to dark blue. As said before, both Aquamarine and Dark Blue are part of the girl. So therefore why Aquamarine fell at the end was probably because dark blue was scared/sad/depressed (not sure which one it is, but it’s one of the three).

Now, we see things from Dark Blue’s point of view in the train. From the lyrics, I’m seeing something like Dark Blue talking about how there’s nothing, no thought going on in her head as she flows in the outside world, how she got dizzy from the yellow sunshine at the outside world, and that she thinks on and on in the outside world, her thoughts flowing in the sea of her brain. (Okay the thinking and her thoughts part was what I think of the lyrics mixed with a bit of my interpretations)

We’re back on Aquamarine’s side, and in here she starts to lose hope, thinking that tomorrow will just be empty. It starts to rain and the whole atmosphere on her side is dark and gloomy. The raindrops start to turn into a dark ocean (which will be mentioned next para). On Dark Blue’s end though, she starts to think about something related to dreams and starts to gain hope.

Then BOOM the ducksplosion happens, which leads to the city going in ruins D:D We have different things happening to the two girls. On one hand, Dark Blue seems to be moving/escaping the train as the speed goes up at 2:58. Aquamarine on the other hand, is watching her world get destroyed by the ducksplosion.

The ducksplosion was set to action by both of the girls, because Dark Blue could’ve caused this by using the train and Aquamarine’s doubt affected the 心海 (which is actually the city), which led to the city being destroyed.

Aquamarine’s orange heart turned into a frenzy due to the doubt and then popped/vanished. Aquamarine fall into a dark ocean. This dark ocean and any sort of dark coloured liquid represents negativity and doubt. So basically she started doubting her ability to get to Dark Blue and get herself back together. Then, *a light* suddenly appears, and she gets hope again. Jumping with motivation, she gets herself together (herself as in Aquamarine only and not Aquamarine + Dark Blue) with more hope than she ever had. Her 心海 turns back to normal.

Once she gets back on her feet with her furry friend (big fat white cat), she sets off with no hesitation to find Dark Blue. We see Dark Blue again, but she has some grey thing inside her. This grey thing disappears literally a few seconds after we see it (lol). This grey thing in Dark Blue represented her negativity fear to face the world.

Then, Aquamarine’s cat decided too YEET her to Dark Blue. Aquamarine and Dark Blue are together now, and Aquamarine’s orange heart is back. We’ve reached the last part of the story now! We see Aquamarine and Dark Blue walking together, Aquamarine’s cat and the city, which actually seems to be rebuilt! This probably means the girls got their life back together, together :D

**The light literally represents “a ray of hope”

How did I not talk about the cat-
Okay I genuinely think the cat is just someone close to Ms. Aqua+Dark Blue and was trying to hel her. (And ayee they did it they saved her :D ) But I’m wondering though, what do you all think the cat represents?

Usually I don’t make theories because I already see so many of them, but now it’s kind of just turned into a stale puddle of overused “Eve destroying the city” jokes and barely few comments talking about the art. As for theory, I also see comments on it but only when I dig deeper. This is a first for me and it’s also really sad too, because JUST ON HIS LAST VIDEO Eve mentioned that he loved to see how different people interpreted his songs...

Definitely seems to be another of E ve's introspective ones (I mean, almost all of their videos are some kind of introspective metaphor, but this one is more directly one person).
The two girls seem to be the same girl, just in opposite colorings, so there's clearly some internal duality issue going on. Given how one has a plush of the giant cat thing and the other has a "real" one, it could be something like adulthood (where the toy is a toy) and childhood (where the toy is a friend). Or given the title, perhaps they are conflicting emotions that achieve "tranquility" by finally coming together. Third option could be that the black haired one represents her in the real world while the bright one is her imagination/happiness/emotions as a whole, with the part where it loses it's heart but then bursts out of the water being the tranquility it finds and then brings to the real self.
Either way, one is very whimsical and motivated, even after losing the "heart" it had while the other is sad, alone, and both figuratively and literally being crushed by pressure in that train until the bright one finally reaches her and they walk off together.

I think this is about a girl trying to push herself forward, the water represent her emotions.
You can see at 1:40 she's trying to move forward, but all her emotions are stopping her.
At 2:34 all her emotions take over her.
Perhaps she's trying to find herself, you can see that at 3:22.

I've had problems with moving forwards myself.
I don't know what the ducks mean, and I'm unsure if I'm right, this is just my theory

I dont know nothing about the lyrics but here is my theory about de mv:

The green girl have this liquid heart because of her sensibility, she is very emocional and kind. Also she live in a fantastic world, shown by the monster that walks with her.

About the black, she is depressed and and empty, the first part that your heart appears is to show us how broke it is. Her world is simple, shown by the sttufed animal that is with her.
Both are sides of the same girl.

I think the water that always come represent feelings, because the green one deals with it with no problems, while the black one is always in a place trying to hide from that water, when she thinks about her ''shelter'' falling apart and she having contact with a lot of water she gets desperate. Also, in the train scene the black girl have rubber ducklings with her, that means that she probably felt the watter before, but hurts her a lot and she is scared of that.

All the mv the green girl is trying to find and get the black one to join your sides, bringing her she's fellings and her gentle heart again.
How much more the green girl stay in the city with her feelings, more flowers grow up there. In the end when the black girl get out of the train and see the flowers, her heart appeared again, cause she is remember how beautiful is feel things.

When the green girl finally join the black girl, the monster turns into a cat, showing us a realistic world (not fantastic like the green one and not so simple, like the black one).
