The AtR song that’s been hyped up since the beginning of January is finally here! People who keep up with utaite news on Twitter probably know that Soraru has really been promoting the greatness of this song these past few months, even saying that it’s his favourite AtR song of all time. I was really worried that the song was going to be overhyped and I’d get disappointed, but it was surprising good, even if I don’t really like the 和风style AtR songs as much as the 7 deadly sins.
Many people in the comments have speculated that the song is about cheesy love, which I think is wrong when you look at the translation. I believe the song is about two friends both in love with each other, separating with each other at the end of the school year to different schools.
Unlike most European and NA countries, schools in Japan begin in April and end in March (with long breaks in the middle). There are many parts of the song that connect to “spring”, with rain and leaves budding on trees, which leads us to conclude that this song probably takes place in spring. Taking another step, cherry blossoms typically bloom in early April in Japan, signifying that this song takes place right before school begins. The lyric “The one moment where our springs altered from each other” means that their springs were different from one another, meaning that they could’ve went to different schools in the spring. Then, we can look at the lyric: “Boarding the sigh spilled out from the month of April and going far away.” The “sigh” symbolizes the remorse and regret splitting apart, and they split apart with those emotions. 自分の知らない言葉ばかりだったので調べました。
仄めく-かすかにみえる

正直最近オリ曲が投稿される時、待機とかしなくなったし、勿論どれもいい曲なんだけどそれが当たり前になりつつあったから、今回そらるさんが絶賛してたり、前回少し荒れてしまった事もあって久しぶりにドキドキして1時間前から待機してこの曲を聞いたからなんかatrを初めて聞いた時の感覚を思い出した。いつもありがとう。

After the Rainが結成される少し前からそらるさんとまふまふさんのことを好きなって、毎日のように動画や配信を追っかける日々を送っていました。
ここ最近は前よりも見る頻度が減ったような気がして、、。
でも今回の曲を聞いたら、お2人が結成したときにまふまふさんが上げたブログを泣きながら見ていたこと、桜花ニ月夜ト袖シグレを初めて聞くときにドキドキしたあの感覚、引きこもらないラジオが早く上がらないかなあと何回もニコニコ動画に確認しに行ってたこと、、今までの想い出が蘇ってきました、、( ᷇࿀ ᷆ )
これからもずっとAfter the Rainのこと応援してます！☔️🌈

の3文字を聴いたら体が震えることがわかった。涙が流れていることがわかった。曲を聴き終わったら鳥肌が立っていた。
心底感動して言葉が出なかった。
After the Rainの曲を初めて聞いた時の感動をもう1度味わった気がした。
そして、まふくんがすごく頑張って曲を作ったこと、そらるさんが大絶賛していた理由がとてもよくわかった。

さっきのそらまふ配信、この曲、この前のまふくんの新曲、そらるさんのcover。最近楽しかったり嬉しかったりすることが多すぎて、いつかなくなってしまったらって考えることが増えた。けどリスナーさんたちの心の中でずっと生き続けるよね、音楽って残るものだもんね。って考えたらなんか突然涙出てきました。そんなことを考えながら聴いてたら「ありがとう、ありがとう」ってきてもっと泣きました。
